Why Workshop – How the Workshop Model Transforms Student Learning LIMITED

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

Limited Capacity seats available

Participants will understand:
- how to structure a mini-lesson around a single objective
- how to guide an activity that purposefully practices the objective
- how conferring can increase student understanding and help with differentiation
This model draws on the work of Colleen Cruz, Nancie Atwell, Lucy Calkins, and Kate & Maggie Roberts. The workshop model of teaching serves to instigate tangible growth in young readers and writers. The one-to-one aspect in this model allows the teacher to develop a deep understanding students’ needs and how they learn.
