An Early Years teacher is an observer par excellence. This session will engage the participants in a professional discussion and reflection about the importance of observation as a tool for assessment in the Early Years classes. During the workshop, participants will learn about the different types of observations, their objectives and how they can be used for different purposes depending on the goal of the teacher. Participants will learn about narrative and authentic observation, the most widely used assessment tool in the Early Years classrooms.
